WOW,
this short e-book really took me by surprise! It's
certainly blown away a heap of the myths that I'd taken on
board about dieting through my life.
Eat Stop Eat was designed to be effective, flexible and sustainable.
You can work it around your own lifestyle.
A lot of diet systems suggest that the best way to burn
a lot of fat is by constantly feeding muscle every 3 hours
or so to prevent it from entering starvation mode.
Eat
Stop Eat is a new approach that contradicts
this theory, suggesting that there is no such thing as
starvation mode. Brad goes on to say that fasting for 24
hours gives your body the break it needs to accelerate
your fat loss.
The down side is (that is if you don't like workouts) that
to make
Eat
Stop Eat
work towards accelerating fat loss,
you need to follow fairly intense resistance training
workouts at least 3 days a week. The thing is, we all need
to incorporate exercise into our lifestyle anyway - so
that's one box ticked. So your resistance training
maintains your muscle level and the dieting helps you lose
the fat. It really is that easy to follow this simple and
flexible approach to fat loss.
The other fabulous thing about the
Eat
Stop Eat
diet is that there is no need to count
calories or watch what you eat. Even though sensible
eating will definitely boost fat loss, you don't have to
eliminate your favorite foods anymore. You just need to
make sure that you can do at least one 24 hour fast per
week along with 3 intense resistance training sessions and
you're really on your way to sustainable fat loss.
Many people have found that this system of dieting
works for them where others have failed, or where they
just can't lose that last stubborn 15 or 20lbs. Some
benefits of short term fasting are that it helps to
cleanse the body and now research shows that short time fasting actually increases the activity of fat burning hormones.
Obviously there's more to it than I've alluded to here, so

lost 13 lbs in only two weeks by obeying this one

I've
done 5 fasts in the last 3 weeks and have lost 8
lbs. I've got a lot of weight to lose and this
seems to work well for me and my eating/workout
habits. Actually doing some fast days made me
realize that I don't need to eat as much as my
eyes or head seem to think I need.

Hey,
I just read Eat Stop Eat this morning for the 3rd
time. Yes, it really takes that much to
de-condition me. I have been a personal trainer
& very interested in nutrition. I read between
2-4 fat loss & nutrition books a month.
I thank you so much for writing this. I no longer
have the need to read the latest & greatest
diet & nutrition book. Sure, nutrition is
important (eat lots of veggies & fruit), but
really weight loss is as simple as you have stated
in your book.
I have been 2 fasts/week for the last 3 weeks
& find it does get easier. For me, it has been
breaking myself of addictions to food &
needing to eat.
I have lost 3 1/2 pounds at this point &
generally feel very good during my fast. Workouts
are awesome too. I do use Turbulence Training as
well as design my own workouts.
I will continue reading other people experience
with this, as I find it so interesting how
people's eyes are being opened after being mislead
for so long.
Thank You Again
Denise
